Let’s say an AI baby was born. By 14th March 2023, ChatGPT-4 and its API were made available for premium users.    Today, that baby has evolved into a human, capable of speaking in different voices and tones- GPT-4o in a nutshell.   What's next? OpenAI has a 5-step roadmap to take AI from a talented youngster to a fully-fledged AGI adult capable of running organizations.    Here’s how they are scripting this transformation.   Level 1 (Conversational AI)- The first level of OpenAI's AGI roadmap centers on conversational AI, exemplified by ChatGPT. It excels in natural dialogues across many topics.   Level 2 (Reasoners)- The second level sees AI that solves complex problems with PhD-level expertise. AI will be able to reason and solve problems like humans.   Level 3 (Agents)- AI at this stage will perform autonomous operations and make complex decisions for extended periods.    Level 4 (Pioneering Innovators)- This stage will mark significant progress. AI systems will have the ability to generate groundbreaking ideas and solutions across multiple fields.   Level 5 (Corporate Giants)- At Level 5, AI will be able to function as entities complete with strategic thinking ability and high operational efficiency, managing complex systems to achieve organizational goals.   Like nurturing a child prodigy, building AGI would require billions of dollars, and ensuring the journey is safe and aligned with ethical considerations.   The outcome could be humanity's greatest tool or a cautionary tale—either way, it's going to be a compelling journey to watch unfold. Trump Is Going All Out With AI Donald Trump's team is crafting a bold plan for artificial intelligence (AI) in case he becomes the next US president.    The plan aims to accelerate AI development and assert America's dominance in AI.   Here are key pointers of the bold plan still in drafts 😊:   Potential Beneficiaries: Trump's allies, including billionaire Elon Musk (who's pledged significant campaign support), could play crucial roles in shaping & benefiting from these policies.   "Make America First in AI": The plan's centerpiece is a push to establish the U.S. as the global leader in AI technology, enforcing Trump's previous "America First" policies.   Military AI Boost: It proposes creating "Manhattan Projects" (WWII nuclear weapons scale project) for AI, suggesting large-scale, government-backed initiatives to develop advanced military AI applications.   Industry-Led Oversight: The plan calls for creating agencies led by tech companies to evaluate AI models and protect them from foreign threats.    Reversing Current Policies: The plan would likely eliminate Biden's AI policies, which require major tech companies to report AI risks to the government.   It's crucial to note that this plan is still in its draft stages. The debate over how to balance AI innovation with necessary safeguards is likely to be a key issue as the elections approach.   There is possibly more drama coming our way.
