Agents, Asteroids, and AI-enabled programming

See what innovations made this month's Radar.
O'Reilly

Tech came in like a lion in March—and stayed a lion all month. Mike Loukides captures the welter of advancements in AI, security, ops, and more in the April edition of Radar Trends. Here's some of what he's tracking.

A platform for developing AI agents is available on GitHub, and it doesn't require training. If a reasoning model challenges you to a game of chess, beware—it's not averse to cheating. Napster is still trying to reinvent itself; are you in? Phishing is moving beyond email, with major implications for security. And in a vaguely dubious quest to create an elephant that can withstand arctic conditions, researchers have harnessed CRISPR to produce a "woolly mouse." It's a start.
