Technical Context: VARnet System:  • Processes 200TB of NEOWISE data  • Uses wavelet and Fourier filters  • 52-microsecond processing per object  • Machine learning classifier for verification  • Identifies 10 categories of space objects  • Found 1.9M objects (1.5M previously unknown)  • Detects black holes, new stars, supernovae   Why It Matters: This breakthrough demonstrates AI's potential to accelerate astronomical discoveries and democratize scientific research, while showing how young innovators can make significant contributions to space exploration using advanced technology.
