Let’s go!  Last Week In AI   Now Build Your Own AI Apps in Claude Anthropic updated its Claude AI so you can now create your own simple AI-powered tools and apps just by telling Claude what you want them to do. It's all thanks to a feature called 'Artifacts'.   Key Details: You don't need to know how to code. Just describe the app you want and Claude writes the code for you. The cost for using these apps falls on the people who use them, not the person who made the app, which is cool. Even if you use the free version of Claude, you can still build and share these apps. Paid users get extra features. People have already made tons of 'artifacts' or interactive things since the feature started last year, and now it's easier to organize them. Why It Matters: This is a big deal because it lets anyone build custom AI tools without coding. It makes AI much easier to use for creating helpful applications, competing with other platforms and pushing forward the idea that anyone can be an 'AI builder'. It could change how businesses and individuals create tools for their specific needs.   Source: Anthropic   Meta Grabs Top AI Brains from OpenAI Meta just hired several important AI researchers from OpenAI to work on AI reasoning models. Reports say they were offered huge amounts of money to switch sides in the race to build super-smart AI. Key Details: Meta reportedly hired three researchers from OpenAI's team in Zurich, including Lucas Beyer, Alexander Kolesnikov, and Xiaohua Zhai. Another key researcher, Trapit Bansal, who worked on OpenAI's reasoning AI, is also heading to Meta. Some reports suggest crazy pay packages, maybe even up to $100 million, though that's not confirmed. Meta's boss, Mark Zuckerberg, is reportedly personally trying to get top AI people to join his company. Why It Matters: This shows how competitive the world of AI is, with companies fighting hard for the best talent. Losing key researchers could slow down OpenAI on certain projects, while Meta is boosting its efforts to build more advanced AI.
