SUPPORT NCI WHEN YOU SHOP THIS CHRISTMAS

If you're doing a spot of Christmas shopping, did you know there's an easy way to shop on-line that will support our dedicated volunteer watchkeepers who help keep you safe and save lives at sea?

We look out for people like you, keeping a visual and radio watch of the coast at Christmas and every day, playing our part in a world class maritime safety community. And now there are even easier ways to say thanks with the perfect gift and one option won't cost you a penny either!

4 easy ways to the perfect gift this Christmas

Our aim is to keep you and the maritime community safe – and we're grateful for any support you can give this Christmas and at any time of the year.

If you're searching for the perfect way to give your Christmas that extra feel-good factor, please support us.

You shop – they donate

Why not make National Coastwatch your selected charitable cause when you shop by using easyfundraising. It couldn't be simpler to make your gift shopping go further and contribute to our work that helps keep people safe around the coast and at sea.

Whether you're shopping for gifts, everyday essentials or the latest maritime gadget, by shopping through easyfundraising, there are 7,000 participating brands who will donate part of what you spend to your local NCI station (or a cause of your choice).

Quite simply, every time you purchase, the brand pays a commission which is donated to us or your nominated charity.

Lots of brands take part from Amazon to Sainsbury's, the Zoological Society of London and thousands in between. And many of our stations regularly receive essential funds that mean we can continue our work that helps to save lives around the coast.

Why help us?

Perhaps one of our 60 coastal stations assisted you with updates on local conditions or a radio check on our VHF Channel 65, returned a friendly wave as you sailed or motored by or even initiated a rescue when you or a loved one was in difficulty?

This year so far, our volunteers have been involved in over 800 incidents and they had eyes and radio ears on 400,000 identified leisure vessels as part of their role to monitor yachts and sea-going traffic. One of those vessels could have been you!

Next year, it will be 30 years since our first station was established and there are now 60 around the coasts of England and Wales, operated by over 2,600 highly trained volunteer watchkeepers. National Coastwatch is a very special registered charity run entirely by volunteers – all of whom give the gift of their time and funds are always needed for essential equipment, station maintenance, for utilities and to expand the network to areas where there are high numbers of incidents.

Thank you

We rely on the generosity of supporters just like you. You can also volunteer or donate any amount to our national cause or one of our stations. It all helps us to help save lives. Thank you!
