Let me share something personal with you today—something I learned the hard way.
Perfection is the enemy of progress.
When I started out, I spent weeks polishing the logo, tweaking the font, adjusting the website—hoping to get everything just right before launching.
Until I realized: progress leads to perfection… not the other way around.
And trust me, I’ve lived this lesson.
P.S. That’s me and my colleague Pranay Sharma (photo below) distributing pamphlets at the gate of a fair—because our stall wasn’t getting enough customers.
No shame. No waiting for “perfect.” Just action.
Here’s why perfection holds us back:
🛑 It delays feedback – You can’t improve what hasn’t met the real world.
😬 It hides fear – “I’m still refining” is often just fear of launching.
⚡ Markets reward speed, not polish – Early momentum > flawless design.
⏳ Resources are limited – You don’t need 10 things done perfectly. Just 2 done well.
🤔 You don’t know what perfect looks like yet – Let your users show you.
So pick the thing you’ve been postponing. Launch it. Messy is better than missing.
