Very solid winter diversions in here — including one of the best sf novels I’ve read in ages, and a couple other quite excellent ones. Plus two games and a TV show or two I really liked.

Books capsule: Slow Gods by Claire North, Sunward by William Alexander, Godfall, Simultaneous, The Invisible College, and a handful I don’t give top recs to (including the new Ian McEwan which bored me). In TV, yes, yes, to gay hockey love story Heated Rivalry. In games, Mike and the Witch’s Mountain and Two Point Museum both charmed me.
