Nadella also spotlighted GitHub Copilot Workspace, which now supports Indian languages like Kannada and Hindi. "Think about this – every person can now start programming, whether it's in Hindi, Brazilian, or Portuguese, and bring back the joy of coding in their native language," he shared, underscoring Microsoft's vision to make coding more inclusive.
Another event highlight was Cosmos DB, Microsoft's scalable cloud database, which Nadella revealed is the backbone of AI applications like ChatGPT. "If you look at ChatGPT, they are some of the biggest users of Cosmos because it serves as a stateful application," he explained, emphasising how it ensures seamless, real-time interactions in AI systems. Microsoft also announced its partnership with SaaSBoomi. With this, the tech giant is looking to empower India's AI and SaaS ecosystem to reach a trillion-dollar economy. This partnership is expected to impact 5,000 startups, create 200,000 jobs, and foster entrepreneurship in 20+ Tier II cities. Microsoft's plans to train 10 million Indians in AI by 2030, alongside partnerships in agritech and education, highlight the depth of Nadella's agenda. As he moves to Delhi today, his message remains clear: India is central to Microsoft's AI ambitions. |
